Day #6

Walked another 3.25 miles this morning. I think the "diet holiday" of the 4th has now caught up with me because I am up to 246.00. Stinky cheese!!!!! On a good note, the soreness is easing up a bit. I pushed a little bit today and did some light jogging the last mile.

Day #2

Well, here it is, the morning of our first real day of our journey. This morning we got up and went to the track and walked for an hour. I managed to go 3.25 miles. Dawn is not tracking her distance, but I can tell you she did awesome! Took my weight before I jumped in the shower and today's starting weight is 244.6 lbs. Going to have two shakes today and one sensible meal. No soda. No sweets. No junk food! This is not going to be easy, but if I cam lose this extra weight and become more active it will totally be worth it. Talk to you tomorrow.

This is to give me motivation to make a change.

My Diet Blog

I am starting this blog to track my wife and I's progress with out diet. We are starting our diet on July 1, 2012. My basic plan is to replace breakfast and lunch with a ViSalus shake and eat a healthy dinner. Along with the food changes I am going to stop drinking soda and switch to water. I also plan on walking at the school track for an hour each day for the first 30 days. I am hoping that the walking will help get me ready to tackle more strenuous exercise. We will take weekly pictures and measurements as well as daily weight tracking.
